A place to watch and talk about film.
Windsor Film Society began by hosting local screenings, encouraging discussion, and bringing the community together around cinema.
Programming has included local work, independent films, alumni showcases, guest conversations, and partnerships with cultural and community organizations.
2021
Growing the local creative workforce.
The organization expanded its mandate to connect emerging workers with relevant, hands-on film-set experience through the Canada Summer Jobs program and local production partnerships.
Since expanding our mandate in 2021, we have helped more than 50 people gain relevant, hands-on film set experience in Windsor-Essex.

Our mission is to strengthen the Windsor-Essex film community through shared film experiences, thoughtful discussion, practical training, and meaningful opportunities to participate in local production.
